Car Stereo

I got a new car stereo!
yes yes I know its about time. but when the woman drives the car now and has an iPod, it gives me an excuse to upgrade to a new toy, and we all know how much I love new toys.  Well I got a Kenwood.  Its really really nice and yes, it even has the iPod cable, so it plays directly through my head unit.  I really didn't want something that used the radio or tape deck to play through.  I totally dislike the whole radio thing, cuz for people who drive a lot you go through different counties, and the stations change.  It sucks to be driving and have to figure out how to do that stupid station change on those things which by the way almost never work they way they are supposed to.

I told myself that I knew enough about taking things apart and putting them back together because I have been doing it since I was a wee little brat.  I decided to put the head unit in myself.  THAT WAS FUN! the old one would not come out. . . so I went to Google to find instructions on how to remove the current stereo.

Google is cool & it sucks.  Yes, you can find ANYTHING on Google, well almost anything, but its all in the way you word it.  so after an afternoon of cursing at my computer because all I could find was something I was going to have to pay for, I get a phone call from Dave.  He found exactly what we were looking for!!

anyway long story short, its in and it works

So its my Birthday today.  I spent the day sleeping, OH what a wonderful thing.
Had dinner with Vi and her parents.

Dave Chris and I went to Dave & Busters and met up with my good ol buddy Nick.  Played some pool and watched Dave have a few drinks.  5 Irish Car-bombs with double shots of Baileys.  he had some other stuff too, but regardless he is quite Drunk!  He wanted to do 6 of them but they ran out of Baileys. and well I'm tired so, thats all I am gonna write tonight.

Rain, I wish it would come more often.  Yes, I love the water, throw me in a pool and I become a fish, any of you who know me well enough will know this.  Rain, well its still water, just of different sorts.  I love the rain, getting wet, even soaked.  The smells that come out of nowhere announcing the onslaught of an eminent downpour.  Smells that make you just want to stop and be.  For some reason you just want to stop and stand still, using all your senses to feel life and the world around you.  Rain, yes Lord give me rain, and I will take some of that in heaven too.

Praise Music. . . There is just something about being around Nick and Shar that always puts me in hte mood for the next few days to listen to Praise music.  One possible answer is that thats almost always what they are listening to.

another meeting with the ol family done. . . glad thats over

Ok so again I ask WHAT IS A WOMAN doing at this conference?!??

As most of you can tell (I hope) I am, once again, still in Anahiem.  I am overjoyed as the privalige I have to sit and listen to these overly exciting lectures.  Now don’t get me wrong, some of the sessions (notice my lack of the use of the work lecture when it comes to something interesting) are quite interesting and informational, but the VAST majority of them are a complete waste of time. . .

__

Aright enough of my belly aching,  Tomorrow I get to drive in to Anahiem once again (I can almost see a trend here. . .)  this time, it to help Nick and Shar do what they need to do for Her parents party. This should prove to be a long day, but a blast, and besides I have a hard time saying no to people especially Nick and Shar.
